Established in 2000, our original name was Grantham & District Decorative & Fine Arts Society (GADDFAS), becoming The Arts Society Grantham (TASG) in 2017.  We are an independent member society of The Arts Society which is a leading arts education charity with a global network of local societies bringing people together through a shared curiosity for the arts.

Our lectures provide a welcoming place to hear expert lecturers share their specialist knowledge about the arts. Our strength is our people, joined together by a passion for the arts which creates a better, healthier and more connected society.

Our Society has around 250 members from Grantham and its environs. For details about how to join us please see the Join Us page on the website.  If you would like further information about membership, then please email us through the Contact Us page.

We meet monthly on the third Tuesday of each month from September to June, but to accomodate pantomime season at the Guildhall, we host two lectures in November and none in December.  We also arrange two Special Interest Days during the year, usually in October and April and outings to local cities, historic houses and gardens and other places of interest.

Our Logo used to incorporate the design of windows to be found on houses built during the Georgian period by a local Grantham Builder.  As per the image here, the moustachioed lintels are, in effect, his signature. Regrettably, his name cannot be traced.  Anyone who can help us solve this mystery, please get in touch.
